How do you keep the floriculture industry safe? This can only be done by working together. For example, on Sunday night (of Sept. 10-11, 2023), a suspicious situation was reported by an employee of a transportation company.

On the grounds of Royal FloraHolland in Naaldwijk, a strikingly colored truck drove around without a trailer. The employee was on immediate alert because there were earlier reports of trailer theft.

The truck was watched and it went to hitch a trailer. Through quick action by Royal FloraHolland security and Police Haaglanden, the trailer was clamped and immediately checked. A Lithuanian license plate appeared under the Dutch license plate. The driver and co-driver are still in custody for further investigation. The reporter received feedback from security and was warmly thanked for his sharp response.
