Working on resilient employees
How can you make your employees resilient against crime? You can read that this week in Kas Magazine in an article about the Weerbare Sierteeltsector Approach, which came about together with NL Jobs and Royal FloraHolland.
People, Planet and Profit form the framework for corporate social responsibility. Providing a safe working environment is also an essential part of sustainability. The Weerbare Sierteeltsector Approach is explicitly committed to achieving this by making employees more resilient against crime.
“Employees within floriculture may be active in a wonderful sector, but they must also realize that this very fact makes them interesting to criminals,” says program manager Bas van Delden. “Moreover, criminals look around much better than is often thought. For example, they follow social media, they watch people going home in business attire and they are present on the periphery of business parks. So you’re much more vulnerable than you might think.”
And that’s where the Weerbare Sierteeltsector Approach comes in, Van Delden points out. “We want to help with that awareness, but we also want to make people and companies resilient. In the first place, of course, prevention is better than cure. But if it does happen to you, it’s good to know what to do next. That’s why we offer various training courses, free E-learnings, scans, checks and knowledge sessions to get started at your company.”
